About Qualivara

Built on Independence.
Anchored in Standards.

Qualivara Consulting Private Limited was established to fill a specific gap in the renewable energy project ecosystem — the absence of a genuinely independent technical assurance layer between manufacturers, contractors, and the financial institutions funding the energy transition.

Our Story

Founded on a Problem the Industry Kept Ignoring

Qualivara exists to close a gap the renewable energy sector learned to live with: the absence of a truly independent technical assurance partner. Without one, developers and lenders carry avoidable risk — underperforming yield, delayed returns, and protracted disputes when real-world output falls short of what was promised on paper. Qualivara's role is to remove that uncertainty before it becomes a loss, so clients can hold suppliers and contractors to the standard they paid for and protect the return on their investment. We are a niche third-party inspection firm built around a single purpose: advancing each client's renewable energy mission on a foundation of verified quality.

Qualivara was founded by practitioners, not auditors-by-training. Its founding team spent a decade inside solar manufacturing at Adani, led and grew a similar third-party inspection firm to new heights, and spent years driving quality assurance for clients across Asia. From the inside, they watched the same pattern repeat: the distance between contractual promises, actual performance, and paid claims is wide and frequently disputed — and when it goes unmanaged, it is the project owner who absorbs the loss, often without ever recovering against warranty or supply claims. Qualivara was built to close that gap on the owner's side of the table.

The solar industry's rapid cost reduction over the past decade compressed manufacturing margins and accelerated supply chain complexity. Inspection, where it existed at all, was frequently conducted by parties with a financial stake in the outcome — module manufacturers running their own QC, EPCs inspecting their own suppliers, or lender-appointed inspectors with only partial access to production lines.

Qualivara was incorporated to provide the alternative: an inspection body with no equipment supply revenue, no construction contracts, and no commercial interest in any finding other than its accuracy. Headquartered in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the firm serves India-based and international project developers, lenders, and IPPs.

Mission & Values

What We Stand For

Four principles that govern how we work — not aspirations, but operational constraints we hold ourselves to on every engagement.

Structural Independence

We hold no financial interest in project outcomes, equipment supply, or construction contracts. Our sole commercial relationship is with the client commissioning the inspection — a structural firewall that cannot be replicated by vertically integrated EPC or OEM inspection teams.

Standards Discipline

Every engagement is anchored to published IEC, ISO, and SEMI standards. We do not operate on informal judgement calls. Inspection criteria, acceptance thresholds, and reporting formats are agreed in writing before work commences and referenced in every deliverable we issue.

Transparent Reporting

Findings are documented as observed, not filtered through commercial relationships. Non-conformances are classified, photographed, and reported with full traceability. Clients receive the same factual record whether the news is good or bad — that consistency is what makes our certificates meaningful to lenders.

Field-First Methodology

Our practice was built by engineers who have spent time in factories and on project sites — not in procurement offices. We understand the pressures of commissioning deadlines and shipment windows, and we structure our inspection hold points to protect quality without creating avoidable commercial friction.

Standards & Credentials

The Technical Foundation

Independent opinion is only credible if it is grounded in published standards. Every service Qualivara delivers is anchored to specific IEC, ISO, or SEMI frameworks — documented in writing before work begins.

ISO 9001

Quality Management System

Our inspection and reporting processes operate under a documented QMS aligned to ISO 9001 principles, covering inspection planning, NCR management, document control, and continual improvement.

IEC 17020

Inspection Body Standard

Qualivara operates in alignment with IEC/ISO 17020 requirements for inspection body independence, impartiality, and technical competence — the international benchmark for third-party inspection organisations.

IEC 61215 / 61730

PV Module Qualification

All factory and field inspectors are trained on IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 module design qualification and safety assessment requirements, enabling technical validation of manufacturer conformance claims.

IEC TS 62446

PV System Testing & Inspection

Our site audit and diagnostics team applies the full IEC TS 62446 series — covering commissioning tests, periodic inspection, and thermographic survey — as the reference framework for operating asset engagements.

IEC 60891 / 61724

Performance & Measurement

I-V curve measurements and energy yield assessments follow IEC 60891 correction procedures and IEC 61724 monitoring system requirements, ensuring comparative consistency across measurement campaigns.

ISO 18434-1

Thermographic Inspection

Infrared thermography surveys are conducted by personnel trained in thermographic measurement methodology aligned with ISO 18434-1, with calibrated camera equipment and structured reporting protocols.
